1. Manufacturing Engineer Process
Job Description :
- You’ll have the opportunity to experience various projects and roles within one of our strategic capabilities, rotating through two different assignments during your time on the Global Development Program (GDP). Additionally, you’ll be offered a tailored learning journey, ongoing ‘learning on the job’ and peer learning.
- Whether you want to work in the field of complex medical devices, connected care or personal health, you’ll be able to explore, contribute, learn, and receive structured support. You’ll also benefit from the many opportunities to learn and share with other Philips graduates and employees and expand your own business network. After two years of on the GDP program, our Career Center will support you in your next move.
You are responsible for :
- There are several assignments in Batam, each with a specific focus. During the assessment center, the managers will elaborate more on their department and the assignments available.
- Is responsible for the development and improvement of processes, tools and equipment of the Manufacturing systems, leading to predictable, reliable, stable and efficient production processes.
- Support all technical aspects of industrialization activities, managing/monitoring the process capabilities of part manufacturing with secondary processes like sandblasting, side milling, blanking etc on metal parts and/or product assembly.
- As part of the industrialization team to fulfill new product requirements to keep manufacturing and process robust.
- Responsible for all industrialization deliverables related to the technical aspects in the PDLM projects (process requirements, verification and validation, capability studies, work instructions, control plans, cycle time and manpower studies etc).
- Identify bottlenecks/risks and initiating corrective actions by working closely with relevant functions to keep the product design simple for manufacturing and manufacturing under control with high OEE and low FOR.
- Proper handover to Operations/Production after achieving consistent results over a certain period of time.
- Troubleshooting on issues which happen during production
The 2 rotations for this role are mentioned below:
- Rotations-1: E CAM Side Milling
- PRP way of working (PFMEA, MCP, etc)
- Software tools (3D CAD, minitab, etc)
- Lean Basics
- Rotation-2: Press + Repressing Process
- Green belt training
- Batam QMS (PDLM, etc)
- Data analytics (IR 4.0)
- PLC training
- PRP = Process release procedure, PFMEA = Process failure mode effect analysis, MCP = Manufacturing control plan
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
- A customer-first attitude
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Have a maximum of 2 years’ work experience post graduation
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, eager and ambitious
- Business fluency in English
- International experience would be a benefit

2. Operational Buyer Support
Job Description :

- You are responsible for
- There are several assignments in Batam, each with a specific focus. During the assessment center, the managers will elaborate more on their department and the assignments available.
- To manage the availability of material through the proper material master data setup, capacity planning and purchase order management with internal and external suppliers, and mitigate in case of supply risks and issues.
- Follow up the purchasing activity (create PO, release forecast, follow up delivery)
- Maintain correct master data in SAP that enable systems to calculate correctly.
- Weekly Analysis the inventory
- Regular discussion with supplier
The 2 rotations for this role are mentioned below:
- Rotations-1: OMM Analyst
- SAP for OMM Power BI Lean Basics
- Rotation-2: Supply Plan
- SAP for SP
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

- Minimum bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Administration, Business with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Have a maximum of 2 years’ work experience post-graduation.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, eager and ambitious
- Business fluency in English
- International experience would be a benefit.
