Volunteer Development Assistant

• Bina Antarbudaya (AFS Indonesia) is seeking a Volunteer Development Assistant to support our Volunteer Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic professional to help manage and grow key initiatives for a great organization with a powerful mission, global footprint, and enthusiastic alumni and volunteers. We are looking for someone who will bring energy and determination to the role.

• The Volunteer Development Assistant will primarily support the Volunteer Development Department in maintaining the Volunteer Engagement System in Indonesia and across 20 chapters. The Volunteer Development Assistant will assist the respective department to execute its annual strategy regarding the volunteers’ growth and development, while simultaneously receiving the opportunity to learn and enhance their potential in people development field. This position will also assist the whole management of the Indonesian YES Alumni Association and will actively engage with the involved stakeholders.

Job Description :

• Full time contract position with possibility to extend
• Work closely with the Volunteer Development team
• Managing and updating the Volunteer Database regularly
• Assisting Volunteer Development team to carry out the annual plan through enrichment activities & capacity development
• Work closely and collaboratively with volunteers in Chapters and the
• Indonesian YES Alumni Association in supporting their projects, initiatives, and activities
• Corresponding with international partners and handling incoming inguiries
• Maintaining communication with volunteers through regular newsletters
• Handling administrative tasks (scheduling meetings, taking minutes of meetings, issuing letters & certificates)
• Have fun and engage with inspiring AFS volunteers, both nationally and internationally

Requirements :

• Fresh graduate/Bachelor’s Degree in any field
• 1 year volunteer/internship/working experience is preferable:
• Excellent English skills (written and spoken) is highly desirable
• Extensive experience in Project Management is a plus
• Sense of intercultural sensitivity is a plus point
• Knowledgeable in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheet, Slides) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of Intercultural Learning & Engagement is desirable
• Ability to work with flexible schedules (meetings with international partners)
• Knowledge in MailChimp is a plus
• Willing to work and interact closely with Volunteers.
