Cost Accounting and Financial Control Officer

Job Description :

• Cost Accounting Officer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the cost accounting functions within the organization. This role involves preparing production cost budget, controlling production cost, performing month-end closing activities, preparing plant financial performance reports, and ensuring compliance with financial control standards. The Cost Accounting Officer will collaborate with various departments to review and optimize financial performance and support the financial audit process.

Duties and Responsibilites :

• Monitoring and controlling production costs to ensure they align with the budget.
• Collaborate with the production team to review the factory’s financial performance.
• Do physical stock verification to ensure accuracy in term of quantity and value of inventory reported in financial statements.
• Ensure financial control standard that are exist in Unilever are properly implemented and identify possible financial risk in accordance with Unilever Global Financial Control Framework (GFCF).
• Ensure financial recording & reporting are done in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Work with Asst. Manager Risk Management & Financial accounting (R2R Controller) in the process of financial audit that is conducted in UOI.
• Support Asst. Manager Factory Accountant accurately & in timely manner in the process of factory performance report preparation and month end closing.

Requirement & Qualification :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing company
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• General knowledge and experience with the FICO SAP Module
• Experience using ERP (SAP FICO) in the oleochemical industry is an added advantage
• High degree of integrity, personal discipline, and a strong work ethic
• Strong communication skills with the ability to respond and deliver under pressure
• Highly numerate, analytical, and attentive to detail
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and an open mind
